This is our Busy Bee Honey & Lemon Shampoo Bar. A fantastic alternative to liquid shampoo to save more plastic bottles from entering landfill and a great way alternative to travel with whether that be a UK destination or abroad.

The honey has been sourced from a farm that is less than 2 miles as the crow flies from my home. Not only does this honey taste incredible it also smells delicious and paired with lemon essential oil this combination is incredible for hair too.

Why Lemon & Honey, besides how amazing it smells:
Honey has many moisturising properties, it's packed full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and antioxidants all of which are great for hair conditioning and repair and in turn brings out the lustre and shine of your hair. Honey is also antibacterial and clarifying.  Lemon essential oil is added for all of the above reasons that honey is it's oil and dandruff reducing properties.

Our bars are approx. 70g+ Which is 15g heavier than those from a 4 letter bath and body product company. We have found that these bars last for quite a long time, personally for me this has saved me buying 5 bottles of shampoo! (I have quite long hair) That's 5 less bottles going into landfill from just my use, how amazing is that!
This Shampoo Bar will get your hair and scalp clean.

How to use:
Wet your hair as you would usually do before using liquid shampoo, wet the bar slightly and rub the bar on your hair from scalp to the tip of your hair. It may seem like it wont lather straight away but don't panic, just do a few wipes of the bar through your hair, pop the bar down and work the product with your hands like you would with liquid shampoo. Work up into a lather, wet your hair a little as you go to activate the bubbles. Once you have finished lathering your hair and working the product in, rinse with water and complete your hair routine as you would normally do whether that is adding conditioner, hair oils etc.

For some first time users of shampoo bars (no matter where you get them from), it does take a good few washes for your hair and scalp to get used to a solid shampoo rather than a liquid, as there are different ingredients in liquid shampoo and different ratios of ingredients. I myself experienced an extreme clean feeling where it seemed to strip out all the natural oils, it made my hair flyaway and had to be cleaned more often in the first week or so. However I soon realised that this was stripping off all the silicones and product build up that my liquid shampoo was leaving behind. After a few of these washes my hair got used to the new more concentrated ingredients and began to accept the new way of cleaning. My hair feels softer, cleaner and is in a much better condition than it has ever been. What I'm trying to say is, don't give up on your first try. Keep going with it. Your hair will thank you later.
